From the article: How to Make a Low-Carb Pizza
Pizza is a food that many of us love. The good news is that most of the toppings are low in carbs. The bad news is that the crust is not! Things I like to do are to use portobello mushrooms as the base, or make it with my favorite low-carb crust. What is your favorite way to satisfy your pizza craving in a low-carb way? low carb pizza
- I enjoy pizza a lot more than i should and when the family has it for lunch or dinner i buy a low carb (joseph lavish bread) it's only 14 carbs for the whole slice and if you watch what you put on it it's very very good.

Pizza or Quiche - Your Low Carb Choice
- I make a crust using ricotta cheese, eggs, chedder and mozzarella. Mix well and line a pie plate. If I'm making a pizza, I make this crust thinner and put on toppings. If a quiche, I mix other ingrediates into the cheese/egg mixture. You can put almost any cooked meat or whatever into this pie. Cook in 350 oven until brown and crusty.

Pizza Bowls
- There used to be a Pizza place near me that made "Pizza Bowls". I now make my own & freeze them. I buy round foil pans at the dollar store, about 7" or so, big enough for a single serving. In the pan I put my toppings, pepperoni, sausage, olives, peppers, mushrooms etc. I then pour my low carb sauce over it, a couple of Tbs. or so. Then top it with mozzarella. The pans come with cardboard lids, just cover them & freeze. I then thaw them & bake at 350-375 until the cheese gets brown. These are very convenient & really satisfying.

Cici's Pizza Low Carb Pan
- Cici's Pizza offers to make a low carb pan on request, This includes any pizza toppings you want, with sauce or without. I'm sure their sauce contains sugar. I've found this a blessing when I am out with my husband and he's wanting pizza. They also have a salad bar. Best news is the pizza, salad and soup bar is only $4.99 now with the recession savings they have going on.

Chicken Pizza Crust
- Line a rimmed cookie sheet, with HD foil. Take boneless, skinless chicken breast and and pound it out between 2 sheets of saran wrap, using the flat side of a meat mallet. I use 2 large or 3 medium breasts, divided into smaller pieces. They get pretty large to handle after being pounded out. I pound it out paper thin. Lay the pounded out chicken on the foil. Scoot it around to fit to the edges of the pan. You can cut and trim to fill in the blanks. Sprinkle a layer of mozzarella on the top, and bake a few minutes, just until the cheese starts to melt. Remove from oven and put a layer of sauce on top. The half melted cheese traps the sauce, and binds the crust Now ... build your topping and finish baking. The "crust" is just like a thin crust pizza, and a little bit leathery, just like the real thing Since I don't add pineapple to the toppings, I like to pour a little DiVinci's SF Pineapple on my plate and dip into it as I eat ....Yummy Makes great leftover

- I take whole wheat wraps and lay flat, rub it with some EVOO, Oregano, Low Fat mozzerella, slice vine ripe tomatoes, fresh basil and broccohli and maybe some chicken breast pieces if I am really hungry. I bake in the oven for only 8 min at 425. Question from Laura: What kind of wraps do you use, and how many carbs are in them? Thanks! Laura
