What is the purpose of your blog?

I first began my journey into a sugar free low carb diet in 2001, after I gained weight from having my thyroid irradiated to slow the overactive gland. I was used to eating anything I wanted since my metabolism was unusually high. Once my thyroid became inactive, I gained about 15 pounds. I managed to lose the extra 15 pounds by controlling my carbs and was able to maintain the weight by only eating high carb foods on rare occasions.

In 2006, I changed jobs at work and started eating regular foods again due to the stress of the job. I gained about 10 pounds. In April, 2010, I was transferred to a less stressful job. In June 2010, I decided to go back to the low carb diet that had been so successful for me in the past. I lost 7 pounds the first month.

I decided to start this blog in July 2010 to share my low carb diet recipes with others so they can have the same success in losing weight and keeping the weight off.
