This is a low-carb version of the sauce my mother always put on our meatloaf. I loved it so much I'd put it on my potato, too - no potatoes for me these days, though!

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup low carb ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • Sweetener to taste - I like a Tablespoon worth, but have seen recipes with up to 3 T sugar

Preparation:

Mix all ingredients together. I usually put the ketchup in a glass cup measure and then add the rest. Assuming 1 Tablespoon carb per tablespoon for the ketchup, the whole recipe should have 5 grams of carbohydrate.
