The Bottom Line

This fudge tastes really great, and the texture is pretty close to regular fudge. Though it's pricey, it's nice for an occasional treat. It's about as sweet as regular fudge, but without the carbs. The fact that it has no sugar alcohols is a big bonus. The sweetness comes from sweet ingredients that generally have a low glycemic impact (see below). I had several tasters try four different flavors (chocolate, peanut butter, turtle, and chocolate peanut butter), and they were all judged to be very good.

Guide Review - Everyday Gourmet Low Carb Fudge

This is some tasty fudge. Of course, careful label readers will want to know where the carbs and "net carbs" are coming from. The ingredients include vegetable fiber, maltodextrin, low glycemic monosaccharides, and low glycemic fruit concentrate. Each serving contains 9 grams of total carb, with 6 or 7 grams from fiber and one gram from sugar.

Ingredients: Of course, the different flavors of fudge have slightly different ingredient lists. This is the list for the Sampler Pack: Chocolate, peanuts, vegetable fiber, coconut oil, palm oil, water, heavy cream, flax seed oil, molasses, maltodextrin, milk protein concentrate, whey protein concentrate, natural flavor low glycemic monosaccharides, sodium caseinate, salt, soy Lecithin, carrageenan, sodium biocarbonate, low glycemic fruit concentrate.

Allergies: All flavors are wheat-free and gluten-free. Some flavors contain peanuts or pecans. All contain whey. None appear to contain eggs or soy, apart from lecithin.
