I made the sauce, adding my own level of spiciness using Franks hot sauce, and some extra hot sauce. It was amazing on the ribs, genuinely tasting better than my usual high octane, sugary concoction. I then made BBQ beans, using black haricot beans. I added some roast garlic, and crumbled some crispy turkey bacon in. Again the outcome was fantastic. I served this with baked sweet potato wedges, tossed in olive oil, cayenne and paprika. This was an excellent feast, and a lot lighter in carbs, fat and calories, but totally uncompromising in flavour and texture.
