Why do people feel so boldly confident about making negative remarks about someone's food choices? I just have to shake my head when other people think they know best what I should eat! Worse, how about when people say insensitive things to a person with cancer or other health condition? Granted, it's sometimes difficult to know what's OK and what's not OK to say. That's why many of us in the About.com Health Channel have come up with lists of "Things Not to Say". For example, things not to say to people with infertility issues, people with breast cancer, or people who have lost a loved one. You can see all of them here: What Not to Say about Health Issues. My contribution is What Not to Say to Someone on a Low-Carb Diet.Do you have examples of "what not to say", or some good comebacks for when people say clueless things about your low-carb way of eating? There is never anything mentioned about the bad breath when you are on a low carb diet. Any suggestions?
