New iPhone App Tracks Carbs

By August 12, 2009

carbDo you own an iPhone or iPod Touch? Have you ever wanted an easy way to track your carbs throughout the day? If so, then I have great news -- an app called CarbTracker. It contains a database of over 65,000 grocery and restaurant items and what looks to be an easy interface. I confess I do not own an iPhone or iPod myself, but I'm starting to consider it for my Christmas list... To see a demo animation and find out more information, head on over to the Carb Tracker Web Site.

I’ve actually got a couple on my iphone. I downloaded more than one to see which I preferred. My favorite is “Nutrition Menu” which allows you to set your daily allowances by carb count, has listings for restaurants, let’s you record your daily weight and exercise all in one app.

I just started using the site http://www.fatsecret.com and it has an app for Blackberry that is very functional, no matter your diet. It stays in full sync with my account on the website, I can track food and exercise, and I get access to their extensive food database. It has come in the most use when going to a restaurant and needing help making a menu decision.

Thanks for the advice! My sister has been doing something like this with added numedica power greens. She says she has lost ten pounds already. I think I might start trying them as well.
