Around About - Interesting Tidbits
Saturday May 30, 2009
One of the great things about being an About.com Guide is that I learn valuable and interesting things from my fellow Guides. Did you that there are almost 800 sites on About.com? Here are some recent articles which I thought might be of interest to my readers:- Danilo Alfaro, our Guide to Culinary Arts has a great article for kitchen science buffs has he dissects the much-debated question: Does Searing Meat "Seal In Juices?
- Robert Longley, our Guide to U.S. Government, tells of an idea to tax sugary drinks to help pay for health care reform. What do you think of this idea?
- Matthew Teimeyer, our Guide to Eating Disorders, reports on a possible negative to posting nutritional information: people with eating disorders might have a more difficult time. He asks the question, "Should we Limit the Display of Nutritional Values?" I confess my assumption has always been that more information is better, but perhaps it doesn't need to be "in our faces"? What do you think?
