Getting Ready for a Low-Carb Hanukkah
Thursday December 18, 2008
Hanukkah starts Sunday evening, so it's time to start getting ready. One of the traditions of the holiday is to eat foods fried in oil. Did you know that there are different kinds of latkes? They don't have to be made from potato, and I have some alternative latke ideas. It's also becoming more popular to eat a kind of fried doughnuts called sufganiot as they do in Isreal. I can't say that I've made an authentic replication of those, but my low-carb doughnuts could be used instead.
