Low Carb Diets Improve Cholesterol Even Without Weight Loss

Sunday June 11, 2006
We’ve known for quite awhile that when people go on low carb diets, good things happen to their blood lipids (FAQ: Low Carb Diets and Cholesterol). Very nice job on this. After I lost 42 pounds on the South Beach Diet, not only was I able to quit taking cholesterol medication, but now my cholesterol is the best it’s ever been, even with medication.
