Study: Lowering Fat in Diet Does Not Protect from Cancer, Heart Disease, Stroke

We hear so much about the importance of eating low fat diets that sometimes it makes people who follow low carb diets nervous. After all, if you aren’t eating carbs, you’re probably eating more protein and fat. No matter how much reassurance the low carb gurus give us, there is often a concern in the back of some of our minds, “Am I putting myself at a greater risk for cancer, heart attack, or stroke?” According to a large-scale study released today in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), the answer is a resounding “No”.Photo by Tanja Sund
